Spokane has always seemed like a vibrant and exciting city to me. Something about the area has always made me want to spend time in the city, exploring the different neighborhoods. While on a recent trip through the state, I had the chance to spend a day in Northwest Spokane, exploring the neighborhood and finding out what makes it such a great little city. Spokane is a great city that seems to have it all. It is located near the Spokane River and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Spokane is made up of several great neighborhoods and Northwest Spokane is one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city. The Northwest neighborhood offers easy access to the outdoors and is surrounded by a number of hiking trails, and also is home to several local shops, museums and theaters. All of this combines to make Northwest Spokane a great place to spend a relaxing day.
Things to Do
Northwest Spokane is one of the best places in the city to stay. There are a number of fun and exciting activities that anyone can enjoy. During my day in Northwest Spokane, I spent time exploring the hiking trails around the city and then headed back into town. I spent some time taking in the sights of Northwest Spokane and also visited a local museum and visited the oldest historic district in the state. During my day in the neighborhood, I found that Northwest Spokane had so much to offer. Visiting Northwest Spokane should be on everyone's to-do list when visiting Spokane.
The Food
Another great thing about my day in Northwest Spokane was the great food. I wandered around the streets and noticed a lot of great looking places to eat. I asked around and found a great pizza place in the heart of the neighborhood. The pizza was delicious, and came with breadsticks and salad. After getting pizza for lunch, I grabbed dinner at a local diner, where I had one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It looked like the neighborhood had a lot of other great places to eat. I'll be sure to check out some of the other restaurants the next time I'm in town.
